We have endeavour to answer the most common questions from different angles and if you find that your question is not answered below. Please don’t hesitate to get in-touch, we’re here for you.


How long will it take to build my site?

From the moment we receive your purchase, we take no more than 3 weeks to build your site.

We will be working with you all throughout the project then present it to you as a complete site with standard page titles and place-holder images, ready for your text, images, logo and any other content to be added.

Do I ever have to pay for anything else?
There are No hidden fees or charges!
We provide a set of ‘Add-Ons’ which are additional features (e.g. our copywriting service) which are not included as part of our standard packages.
Add-Ons can be purchased from our online store with a one-off payment.
Can I change my package? Yes!

You can change your package at any time by giving us notice.

We then make arrangements with you for your monthly subscription fee to change and make your new package features available.

Which payment methods do you accept?
Direct Debit. We use GoCardless to process all our payments securely via our online shop or if you’re upgrading we send you a secure link to sign up for Direct Debit. This needs to be set up for your site to remain active.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. But we do request for a one year commitment in order to reap the benefits. All plans are on a rolling monthly contract.
What support do you provide?

What about domain names & hosting?

We offer domain names & hosting as part of our packages. If you don’t already have a domain name we will purchase your domain name for you and take care of renewal fees.

If you have an existing domain name, we will manage that domain name for you and hosting as well as taking care of the renewal fees on your behalf.

Do you provide ongoing support? Yes!

Our team is available to action your requests via our online support request form, as well as being available for telephone support during office hours.

We also provide documentation, video tutorials and webinars.

Do I have to stay with Church Websites UK for a minimum period of time?


Church Websites UK works to support various churches and ministries on a subscription-based service, and you can cancel at any time.


What is a Mobile App?

According to Wikipedia – “A mobile application (or mobile app) is a software application designed to run on smartphones, tablet computers and other mobile devices. They are available through application distribution platforms, which are typically operated by the owner of the mobile operating system, such as the Apple App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Marketplace and BlackBerry App World. Some apps are free, while others have a price. Usually, they are downloaded from the platform to a target device, such as an iPhone, BlackBerry, Android phones or Windows Phone 7, but sometimes they can be downloaded to less mobile computers, such as laptops or desktops.

Which Platforms do we support?

Church Websites UK supports iOS (the Apple iPhone, iPad platform), Android (the Google platform) and HTML5. So you get native apps for the iPhone, the iPod Touch and the iPad using iOS version 5.0 and higher as well as for every variety of Android smartphone or tablet. In this way, we cover the majority of the app market.

What is an iPhone and Android app?

An iPhone app is a small computer program that runs on the iPhone. The iPhone can be a powerful marketing platform and Church Websites UK mobile app takes full advantage of it. An Android app is similar but designed to be downloaded onto Android phones or devices.

How long does it take to get a mobile application?

Around ten days.

Once created, Church Websites UK we will submit your app to the iTunes Appstore or Android Market (as applicable) within 48 hours. It then takes about 48 hours a week to gain approval. In the highly unlikely event that your app is rejected, we will work with you to make the necessary changes. With Church Websites UK mobile app, approval is guaranteed.

How do push notifications work with my Church Mobile App?

Looking to notify your church members/audience of an event or service reminder? Church Websites UK mobile app allows you to send “push notifications” right to your member’s iPhone or Android devices. Our advanced push notifications allows you to segment, use geo-fencing attached an event banner or link to a tab on your app.

You can access them via your admin panel, log into your account, locate the Messages menu and enter the information you want to send, the selecting the options of the message on the 3 step process and click send or schedule!

How can I update my church mobile application?

Church Websites UK, provides a clean professional CMS platform for easy content updating to your app. Just log in to your admin panel, make the change, and your app is instantly updated.

If I decide to cancel my subscription, what happens to the app?

Your app will continue to run until the end of its current billing period (e.g. end of your current billing month or year). Beyond this period your app will default to the locked screen. Apps that are in the Apple App Store and Google Play will be unpublished from both stores at this time.


Why do I have to pay a subscription cost?
The subscription cost you pay covers for the hosting of your mobile app, website, emails and provides you access to your church mobile app admin panel which enables you to update and send push notifications on your mobile app.
What happens to my church website if I decide to leave Church Websites UK?

We will be sad to see you leave yes!

But on a serious note, clients leave Church Websites UK for a variety of reasons. We make sure that it is never because of our failure to deliver on what we say.

Once we receive a cancellation notice, we will export all of your content and data, making it available for you to download so that you can use your content on another website or with another service provider.

As a subscription-based service, the website design remains the property of Church Websites UK.

What happens to the domain name if we cancel our website?
If we are managing your domain name when you cancel your account, we provide simple instructions on how to transfer the domain into an account of your own.
What are some technical specifications for the email that you offer?
We offer email that has an unlimited amount of online storage, POP/IMAP access, and webmail access. You are able to use these email accounts in an email application, tablet, or mobile device.
